In this week’s readings, questions about the nature of love and marriage are raised. The legitimacy of same sex marriages as well as the changing nature of the American family are topics that policy makers and moralists are discussing just about everywhere. Indeed, many feel that even considering the legalization of same sex-marriages is a symptom of the changing meaning of family in America.  What do you think about same-sex marriage? Why do you feel this way?

Marriage- In many cultures, the marriage is a part of civilization so that forming of a family begin from legal way of two person start to live together. Definition of marriage varies culture to culture but basic phenomena of marriage is same.

Same sex marriage- These days American society raising questions about the nature of love and marriage because after the socio-cultural development, the definition of family has changed. People prefer fulfilment of physical needs rather than social needs, the status of a family, positioning secondary as well.

Pros and Cons of same-sex marriage -If we think about the fundamental rights of freedom, we can say that the marriage is also belong to personal interest and we have rights to choose the way of family, legalization of the same sex marriage works on individual’s freedom to live their life as own way.

If we talk on the behalf of culture and tradition, the same sex marriage is not the right way to build a society. Family is a part of society and marriage is the primary unit of society and if the unit not getting right path than society may not works as well.
