Solutions

Expert Solution

Thus if they plan about a second child, some points should be considered which will be helpful in future.

a) Siblings are more likely to get along if their parents get along : Its a very common thing that all children learn from their parents.Whatever they watch in the family they like to imitate the same. Thus parents are the role model for the children. If the children learn to stay along with others, they will do that and the most important thing is they learn it from their parents. A good relationship among parents tend to maintain the socialization of the child. So they can stay along with others.

b) If a parent favors one of the children, make sure the other parent favors the other child : one thing should be always remembered that all children want the attention from their parents. So if a parent give attention to one child, the other parent should give attention to the other child. For this the children will be sure that they are getting the same importance.

c) Most siblings do not get along, especially if they have similar temperaments : Because of having similar temperaments, most siblings do not get along. There may be increased scope of fighting, arguments that may hamper the peace of the home.In that case parents should handle the issues delicately.

d) Parents who are distant, strict, and controlling tend to have children who get along because they depend on each other for support : when parents seem to be very strict, the siblings find support from each other. They are then the best friends as they are sharing the same problem. They support each other and help to get rid of this problem.
