Canada is a nation of opportunity and freedom. People from all around the world immigrate to Canada to start a new life to get away from war or poverty. The country accepts and supports them financially to get started. But the native people or the ethnic groups who were the original or earliest inhabitants in Canada know as First Nations are facing lot of discriminations in the country. So first write down the discriminations that they are facing (few points are given below)

· First nation children being removed from their families and communities because less disruptive alternatives were not available. They are being placed in state care which is away from their families and culture.

· They are abused physically, mentally, sexually and spiritually.

· The lack of acceptance and understanding cause tremendous pain and suffering

· The underfunding of child welfare service.

· Denial of suitable access to government services such as housing, clean water etc which are the basic needs.

There are several issues that comes to mind such as poor health support, lower level of education, inadequate housing and crowded living condition, lower income level etc.

You can elaborate these points for the essay. Also imagine if you are the one who is facing these issue and write how you will feel yourself.

You can conclude the essay by writing the actions the government has to take to solve these issues.
