-ACE Inhibitors.

-Angiotensin receptor blockers

-Calcium Channel Blockers.

-Cholesterol-lowering medications.

Respiratory system medication

-bronchodilators

What makes a drug family?

-drugs with common mechanism of action( statin they inhibit HMG CoA reductase enzyme)

But there are other drugs too which lower the cholesterol level but uses another mechanism

- drugs with common chemical structure

-depending on their outcome eg: cns stimulants

- which condition they are used to treat

Eg: anti arrythmic drug

Why is it important to know and understand?
