Level of prevention strategies:
individual level: Individual prevention level targets the member of
the group.interventions with health education, behavior changes
strategies like counseling, using safety devices, and reinforcement
encourages evidence-based individual-level prevention. primary
prevention includes population-wide strategies and controlling
strategies. secondary level prevention measures include early
detection of diseases through screening, tertiary prevention uses
long term prevention strategies through rehabilitation,
elimination, and minimizing the suffering to prevent the
complications.
community level: community-based prevention programs focus on
population health, changing individual character, and intervention
in the community with socioeconomic status, building physical
environment, housing, ensuring safety for the community as
evidence-based strategies aim for community health and address the
social determinants of health that encourage government (education,
taxation, and transportation) through various programs and policies
that improve community health.
National level:national-level prevention using global principles
for national and regional guidelines on prevention include
lifestyle and risk factors management, cost-effective preventive
strategies that reduce global mortality from disease
factors,nutritional deficiencies, maternal conditions.global
strategies for the prevention and control of noncommunicable
disease world health organization integrated approaches target
various global burdens, especially in low and middle-income
countries.
