prepare a balance diet plan fro yourself that meets your daily
requirements?
1). Body mass index (BMI) provides an estimated value of requiring body weight for a particular height (weight-for-height). If the BMI value of individual ranges above 30, it is called "obesity." BMI of more than 25 indicates health risks.
The common causes of obesity include the sedentary lifestyle, eating fatty foods and junk foods, hereditary factors, etc.
Obesity results in the accumulation of excess fat throughout the body. Deposition of cholesterol in the arterial walls triggers inflammation in these regions, which gradually leads to chronic cardiovascular diseases. Obese people develop insulin resistance and are more prone to the risk of developing metabolic diseases such as diabetes. The risk of infertility also increases in obese women of reproductive age. Obese people generally suffer from malnutrition as they prefer food rich in calories but contains poor nutritional values.
2). Prevention of obesity:
1). Changing the lifestyle and counseling. This is because the sedentary lifestyle is one of the important causes of obesity.
2). Taking more nutritious food with the possible low calories. Eating junk food adds more calories and less nutrition. People must be aware of nutrition benefits of foods they are eating. Providing the charts of foods, their nutrients and calories can help in making people more cautious.
3). Regular physical exercise. It would greatly help in reducing the excess fat, regularizing the secretion of insulin and the other metabolic and digestive processes.
