What do cities hope to gain by attracting franchises?
Cities have their own advantages in terms of attracting franchises. The following are the benefits that a city can get by attracting franchises.
Low Cost Factor: Things are becoming more expensive when it is
imported from other countries, but if we have franchises of various
companies in our city then the products can be available at a
cheaper price.
Convenient to reach the product: There are a lot of international
and national brands, a common man can't reach to all types of
brands because all are not available in his own city. Either they
have to travel or order it through various e-commerce sites. But
when a franchise is located in their city, they don't have to face
much of the problems and can get it easily.
Communication becomes easy: Attracting franchises in a particular
city, helps dwellers to collect regular updates about the company.
For example, there are various seasonal and occasional offers
provided by the company throughout the years, sometimes this type
of information can't be accessible by the city dwellers. Franchises
can make aware people through various advertisements in local
newspaper, magazines, hoardings, local news channels, distribute
leaflets across the busy stations or simply inform the regular
customers so that they can inform people in their
network.
City people can shop from franchises more comfortably than to shop
in an over-crowded shopping mall. Another major advantage is one
can concentrate on a particular brand and judge its quality easily
without any multiple brand confusion that prevails in big malls.
One can take quick purchasing decision in a franchise rather than
in a mall. Sometimes prices in a franchise may be higher than a
multi-brand shopping mall but one can get good quality products and
various seasonal offers in a franchise.
