The 7s with challenges and their effective recommendations are as follows:
1) Strategy- A strategy is a method designed to preserve the eternal victory or point of standing for a organization. It means taking chances and breaking from the comfort zone. However, when planning the plan it is important to have the other six factors in mind. The perfect approach for every organization is a long-term target strategy.
Challenge- The most viewed challenge of strategy is that when the strategy is not in sync with other organs than it won’t be able to achieve its motive.
Recommendation- in order to overcome this challenge the company after recruiting the employees must make them aware of the then on-going project so that they can be well equipped and make themselves ready for the upcoming work and also engaging the employees on all levels which would help the company to keep the strategies in sync.
2) Structure- Structure reflects the way company departments and groups are structured, which involves who is accountable to whom details. This is also one of the frame elements which is most noticeable and simple to modify.
Challenge- Completion of assignments by whom, delegated by whom and who will be responsible includes both of these mechanisms. This step leads to miscommunication because it involves work done through chain which contains employees at different level.
Recommendation- In order to overcome this challenge the company should compose a department which impose work on the individuals and keep a record in electronic form.
3) System- The program element here is the existing processes and the organization’s everyday operations. Methods such as reply arrival, board meetings and service provision, etc., form the organizational system.
Challenge- Different viewpoints from different branches of business because each team has its own set of responsibilities, and can use various applications or systems to fulfill them.
Recommendation- By adopting of evolutionary process involving a company's digital transformation and taking advantage of the technological techniques.
4) Shared Values- It applies to the ideals that the organization’s members hold. The shared values are the essence of what we stand for and the cement that binds the organization.
Challenge- The shared values need to be consistent with the other elements such as structure, system, strategy.
Recommendation- Before recruiting the employees, the company should make an eligibility criterion for the same and the hire according to the companies need.
5) Skills- The competency element here is the employee's skill and qualities. It determines the quality of the work and the speed of the task, and thus plays a crucial role
Challenge- With the changing world and changing scenario, the needs and demands of the people is also changing and hence the changing environment of the company and the old human resoucres with old skills won’t work out.
Recommendation- The training of the existing employees and develop their skills according to the need of the company.
6) Style- The style element symbolizes the strategy and design the business is being managed in. It revolves around leadership skills which are in control of the entity or management department. The way in which management conducts to attain organizational objectives.
Challenge- if the style of the top level management does not inspire or motive the employees then it is futile.
Recommendation- In order to motivate the employees of the company the top level management must closely observe them and provide them good work environment.
7) Staff- The aspect of the workplace requires the number of workers and the form they come under. The workers become the organization’s cells as opposed to a human person.
Challenge- Lack of checks and balances because it is vital for the higher authorities to always monitor and regulate the work processes at all levels.
Recommendation- Allowing the employees to give report of their work to the authority through electronic form would be more transparent and easy to access.
