Biodiversity and ecology are related to one another
Ecology is an inter disciplinary field and studies interaction of different organisms as well as their environments. Biodiversity can be defined as the variability that occurs among the different species at the genetic levels. This difference and variations could also be seen at the ecological level. An idea or estimate of biodiversity allows an ecologist to have an idea about species abundance. When looking at the balance and stability of ecological community, the relationship between ecology and biodiversity could be understood.
The interaction that occurs amongst the various species of an ecological community, defines the stability of an ecological community. When there are multiple interactions happening in an ecological community, the ecologist has to identify the components that contribute to keep the community stable and has to take care of the dynamics that define the complex stability relationship. The dynamics of a community can only be established by the identification of these intercaubf components.
