What is biodiversity? Describe three levels of biodiversity. What are the benefits of biodiversity? What are the five primary causes of biodiversity loss? Give specific examples of each. What is a biodiversity "hot spot”?
What is biodiversity?
Biodiversity simply states that al the organisms such plants, animals, and all species etc. they are genetic variations
in simple words, we can say that it is a combination of two words Bio meaning biological and diversity means the variations
these have a mutual relationship with each other(i.e ecosystem) which interact with the environments
Describe three levels of biodiversity
there are three levels of diversity
1. genetic= whatever the organism in our environment has existed they are related to genetically. two closely species are sharing some their genes. so they are looking similar. as some gene of parents transfer with their son and daughter
2. species= there are a lot of species in our environment which are different in their region and living style
3. ecosystem= whatever species are organism living on the earth. they are related to each other and have different in ecosystems in areas.
What are the benefits of biodiversity?
protection from disease
medicine
food
What are the five primary causes of biodiversity loss?
1.climate change
2. over-exploitation
3. low and high amount of nutrients and sun light
4.Habitat change and abruptly adaptation other environments
5. pollution and contaminations
What is a biodiversity "hot spot”?
the biodiversity is such kind of place which has the richest and most loss of the organisms like plants and animals and has a large number of endemic species. they have two criteria for hotspot biodiversity. endemism and loss or threatened species.
