What is health care policy? How do policies arise and what are two ways that policies can be used as tools to affect the delivery of health care services in the US?

Health Care is an important aspect for the United States as any other country and involves those decisions which are taken by the government to ensure that people within the country remain healthy and are given best of care in the case of any diseases which may take place.

Over a period of time, all countries across the globe have been correctly judged by their ability to tackle healthcare issues which may occur at any given point of time. Healthcare is an important measure as such which helps in deciding the performance of the government.

Health care policies rapidly effect the implementation of services in the United States. The two ways in which policies can be used as tools to effect are as follows:-

Price Control Mechanisms:-

Health Care Policies example compulsory insurance of employees and a maximum capping on pricing of essential medicine tend to put in place Price Controls which are extremely necessary to ensure proper healthcare delivery in the economy. Not all people residing in a country have equal resources to access healthcare, and as a technique of service delivery price control mechanisms are rapidly used to ensure equal distribution respectively.

Redressal Mechanisms:-

Another. Key feature of health care policies is how they provide a means for consumer redressed. These policies allow consumers to directly complain in case of any service delivery issues. It helps to maintain quality and standardization of the overall health care delivery process.

Choose two continuing challenges in the field of US health care service provision, describe them and why they will continue to be challenges in the era of health care reform in the US.

Two continuing challenges to the US Healthcare Service Provision are as described:-

Lack of Physicians:-

Even when the United States is ever growing, the lack of physicians is a serious problem which impacts the overall quality of healthcare services being provided to people. Doctors take years of practice before they can be included into formal hospitals and it is a difficult course to clear and be proficient in. As a result this is not highly preferred by people.

The resultant is that there is a severe shortage of physicians in the United States like most other countries which cause issues in healthcare service delivery.

The main reason why this cannot be controlled is that physicians in today's time take a lot of expertise to become available in the market, and it is not an ideal preferred job type in the United States.

Choices of People & Their Lifestyle:-

An important element which has been the main reason of healthcare policies not being able to cause major impact is the lifestyle of people in the United States. Even when policies have rapidly been formulated, Choices of People and their lifestyles is one of the key reasons why healthcare administration is a big issue in the United States.

This is a relatively stagnant position because even when the government spreads ample awareness people still choose to have food which leads to them being obese and no matter how much persuasion is present, healthcare policies become difficult to implement for these sections of the society respectively.
