Energy used to make ATP during oxidative phosphorylation in the mitochondria originate by this process -
ATP (adenosine triphosphate) are synthesized by the glucose metabolism which are produced by the mitochondria via oxidative phosphorylation.WHole process involves proton gradient present in inner membrane as it is generated by mitochondrial respiration.Energy are transferred by electron donors to electron acceptors such as oxygen i.e redox reaction.Further, energy is transferred by electrons to elctron transport chain via proton called as a electron transport.Energy is stored and tapped when protons moves back to membrane and to the energy potential gradient via ATP synthase called as chemiosmosis.Oxidative phophorylation is formed in this process via ATP as a result of Electrons which are transferred from NADH or FADH2 to O2 by the series of carriers electrons.AS whole process is initiated in mitochondria via major source in aerobic organism.
