Tests and assessments is a practice which is untaken by students which reflects on the teaching and learning that takes place in an academic setting. The data obtained from tests and assessments, helps the teacher to asses her ways of teaching and the effect it has on learning in students. Every pupil is different. For instance, some are critical thinkers whereas others are analytical thinkers. Some are good with Mathematics while the others are good with languages or History. Every student grasps information differently.

The data from tests help the teacher to assess whether her teaching ways are effective or not. If they do not yield positive results, the teacher must take up different ways of teaching like including PPT's, video lessons, fun activities which helps the student remember the lesson being taught.

It's extremely important to continue the practice of testing and assessments to improve teaching methods, so that it has effective results on learning.
