In recent time, psychometric tests have been increasingly applied in the education system in order to improve the overall quality of education by ensuring a relatively better fit between the classroom learning material and the student’s level of cognitive functioning and specific aptitude. To this end, school psychologists maintain that the impact of assessment is significantly observable on students’ performance. A key part of developing an assessment profile of the student is to involve him/her and the parents in the process so that students will be more motivated to study and earn further and work on the areas of improvisation. educational counselling and vocational guidance is one way in which the students’s learning potentials and level of skill development is verbally shared with them. Moreover, drafting worksheets which give a detailed account of the different tests and what do they measure and what the specific score of the student implies allow students both to the parents and the student to know for themselves about the tests and it’s applicability to the student’s level of academic functioning and future abilities and success.
