Expert Solution

Competition: - The hospital is a medium sized and an operationally struggling organisation. There are operational challenges because the hospital is a community hospital and there is always less profit. Due to the cash crunch, the hospital cannot hire better professionals and thus there is no trust among patients. The competitors, on the other hand, have the tie-up with big insurance companies and have better cash flow statements. They are able to hire better professionals and attract more customers

Organisation Wide Strategy:- The organisation should change its stance from being a community hospital to a for-profit hospital. As the money pumped into the hospital will help in the modernisation and expansion of the hospital and attract better doctors. The hospital will be able to serve larger community this way.

Vision Statement:- The hospital should have a vision of touching more lives by its services and for this should expand and reach people. The vision statement should be "touching lives by creating value".

Strategic Objective - The objective of the strategy is to have profitable and efficient operations in place.

Tactical Planning: - The hospital should tie-up with insurance agency at first. This will help it to reach premium customers. Gradually with increasing profit, the hospital must expand and modernise and should have more tie-ups.
