Alan Turing, Christine Jorgensen, sally ride, and Ellen DeGeneres. When, we see people in the LGBQ community, who are not present in one field, but vivid fields, such as a mathematician, an astronaut and one of the most famous and loved talk show hosts of our time. Such depictions, teach us that the LGBTQ community is not hidden and people are not conscious about their identity. There are people who believe that they have a se-xual orientation that is not in line with the dominant orientation and they don’t mind letting it out. This inspires people of the same community who feel ashamed to acknowledge their identities. As a result of the widespread oppression to homose-xuality or the transgender people, these people prefer to hide their se-xual orientation, rather than portraying it in front of people. When, they realise that there are celebrities at this level, and come out about their identities, in front of not only the small community or society but the entire world, it would motivate them to acknowledge themselves as well.
