What is the strongest lesson you have learned about ethics in your own work and leadership?
The strongest lesson I have learned about ethics regarding work and leadership is that we should ensure honesty and fairness in all our actions to be considered as ethical and to earn respect from others. When we are honest, we would give preference to others interests as well and would never act unethically. Fairness in actions would help to ensure respect and support from the followers even in worst conditions. Such leaders would be considered as role models and the team members would work united under a leader who acts with honesty and fairness. I learned this lesson from my previous manager whom we consider as the most ethical person in our organization because he supported the team members in all circumstances ensuring honesty and fairness. We have always obeyed him and were always ready even to extent the work hours if he requests because we knew that he would not act against the employee interests and there would be a strong reason behind his request.
