ANSWER.

IT(Intrathecal) is a route of drug administration,the drug will be given with injection directly to spinal canal or subarachnoid space,so that it directly reaches cebrospinal fluid.

Intrathecal is used:-

* Used as Anaesthesia.

* Chemotherapy medications.

* For pain management,etc.

This is said to be warranted if the medication is given by anaesthetic if that is used as anesthesia and other specialists if the medication is on other purpose.

Intrathecal implementation process:

* Planning:-

This includes the planning of intrathecal which has to be given whether morphine,ziconotide or baclofen.

* Designing:-

This step includes preparing the medications.

* Testing:-

Thus includes testing that particular medications does not harm to patient and safe.

* Integration:-

This means adding another medication with combination of the planned medication for better evaluation,if required.

* Launching:-

Giving the treatment,here that means giving injection.

* Evaluation:-

This means waiting for the results and changes dur to given Intrathecal.

Roles and responsibilities while intrathecal implementation:-

Physician assistants(PA) and Nursing practitioner (NP) roles in giving intrathecal:-

* Helping in patient initial assessments.

* Treatment formulations.

* Medication management.

* Procedure management,etc.

Registered Nurse(RN) role in intrathecal patient treatment:-

* Pump patient.

* Helping in ongoing patient assessment.

* Psychological management of patient,etc.
