The development process of the Balanced Scorecard in a company involves several steps, which have been summarized here:

  1. Establish a clear vision of the future
  2. Define the strategic objectives
  3. Determine the critical success factors
  4. Choose indicators to measure and monitor performance
  5. Set goals, action plans, and initiatives
