Answer=

Based on the organic and inorganic characteristics of the biomesfive “challenges” that organisms face who live in

A) the tropical rainforest

The rain forest ecosystem is defined by dense vegetation, year round warm climate ,and about 50 -260 inches of rainfall par year

1]Tree design-Trees usually have branches growing out at a certain height. At that height, the branches move outward & upward to capture as much as moisture & sunlight as possible.

in the rain forest, however trees have evolved to grow to immense height.

2]Food eating adaptations- To consume the assortment of food in the rain forest ,many animals developed unique ways to eat.

for example many birds in the rain forest have strong, large beaks that can crush the extra thick cells of nuts:the most popular example is toucan.

for other animals ,insects ,like ants ,are the main diet.

3]Protections- many animals protect themselves through a number of defenses.one common defense adaptation is camouflage.

many insect species can mimic their surroundings so that mammals or birds can not differentiate between the insect or a tree leaf or a rock.

Another protection is poison-plants which can emit poison through their flowers ,many animals have poisonous skin.

4]Climate change= global warming affects rain forests on a very large scale.A temperature change of even one or two degrees can dry out the rain forest & affect the many plants and animals living there.

5]Degradation= it is also very damaging to rain forest.habitat fragmentation is another example of degradation in the rain forest.Even if patche sof rain forest are left in between deforested regions ,the habitat is adversely affected.

B) arctic tundra =1] Extreme cold temperature

2] Poor visibility

3]predatory animals

4]Dangers posed by humans
