Describe some behavioral science
principles that support team building.
Team building helps in getting the
job done more easily along with causing fewer problems in the
interpersonal relationships and lesser job problems. Some
principles of behavioural science are:
- Shared participation while solving
a problem, would result in growth, development as well as
contributions: it is said that when problems are shared they tend
to be solved in a better way.when a person is facing a problem, in
most cases it happens that a person who is faced with problem
situations will have blocked minds, and thus, help from another
person might provide resolutions.
- Open communications would support
mutual understanding: when the team begins to discuss their
feelings about each other, without hiding or back bitching, it
would make trust building among the team members. For example, if I
feel that the work of a team mate is not liked by me, I would
rather tell them directly than telling and complaining to other
people. This would make them feel bad for some time, but it would
make them believe that the next time I might have a problem, I
would discuss it with them directly and not bitvh about it.
- Mutual trust would build
relationships: once the trust between two members is built, theT
would start sharing more problems and discuss more topics. As a
result, there would be more positivity and decrease in negativity
among the team members.
