Answer- Task refers to a work to be completed within a stipulated set of time or when no time is mentioned then withing some reasonable anount of time. To do any task one must follow some pre defined steps or pre planned steps so that the tast is completed on time with efficiency and there are no variances in it’s completion.

Following are the detailed steps to be followed to complete a given task-

•Collection- All relevant data related to the task must be obtained and stored in a secure place. Also, all the items that may be required in the work must be obtained so that every thing that is required to do a task is present and hence time will not be wasted in future to obtain such things again. It is the first yet very important phase of completing a task and thus, all the emails, tools etc thatvare required must be collected on time.

•Forming a process- Every task requires a set of things to be done in some order to make it the most efficient. In this second phase every such process or thing to be done to complete a task must be listed properly and carefully verified. After losting the things to be done each part of process should be prioritised so that such task can be ranked and done on some priority basis. This step also includes following the steps in some order so that things to be done can be simplified and done in an organised manner.

•Being organised- The next step in completing a task is to get organised by maintaining things and allocating tasks tonteam members and maintaining a proper communication channel between the team members. This step helps to maximise the efficiency of the task and important things are prioritised and done in timely basis.

• Review or perform test procedures- Every work done must be reviewed properly before it is finalised. This helps to point out the mistakes and correct them on timely basis. Reviewing also helps to find any gaps or loopholes in the process that was designed to complete the given task. It should be done on timely or some predefined basis like after completion of every process.

• Finalising or completion- After all of the above steps have been deligently followed the final step is to properly implememt the process by finalising the task and taking corrective action that may come along. After completion the task should be documented properly as it helpsnit performing it in the future and also helps to not repeat the same mistakes twice.
