What strategies and questions can i use if i want to interview a people in leadership roles in educational leadership?
And how can i consider the strengths and weaknesses of the interview?
The various Stratergies that can be used are:
1. Asking him/her the experiences he has had when he was a leader or a part of a team
2. Give him situations like "group crisis" , "loafing taking place" , "failure experienced by the group" and Conflict resolution". Check how quickly he makes his decision about it, the solution he gives, his facial expressions and body language.
3. Ask him about the qualities which he would like to change
4. Ask him to convince the interviewee for a particular project and check him on his communication skills, patience level and how novel the ideas are.
5. Ask him to rate himself/herself on a scale of 10 on certain leadership qualities
The strength and weaknesses of an interview can be rated by having a panel of judges, one of them can be a industrial psychologist who can note down the points on the interview. Also, do a job analysis before the intervews to have specific questions related to what you want in a candidate.
