I have learnt that I need to be on latest Windows Build of my Windows 10 Computer, which is Win 10 Build 1909 for me to be fully protected and have latest features. I also need to do my Windows Update especially Security update patches as they are released every patch Tuesday. I just need to test the patches that they do not break anything on Test machine before I can apply them to other machines in my environment. I have also learnt the benefit of me having a strong password long alpha numeric as it’s very difficult for hackers to crack it even when using the best hacking tools. I will also utilize the Windows firewall to protect my computer as I can create Policies for my Whitelisted and Blacklisted of Application and Websites. This will help to not run malicious Applications on my System.
I have also learnt about the benefits of having a good Antivirus and having definitions up to date. It will be able to capture and protect me against new attacks been launched. My personal information is very sensitive and critical to my needs so I need to protect them with the highest security protection. I also need to encrypt my device with Bitlocker and use VPN when connecting from public Networks and WIFI as they also pose a very high security risk for attackers. I need to also increase my home WIFI encryption to stronger one, which is WPA2-PSK as it is very hard to crack key and connect to it.
Finally, as we coming to the end of the course in preparation for the Final Exam, I would like to thank Instructor Cecil for the commitment and guide throughout the Course have managed to learn a lot and look forward to final Exam.
