Marketing plan with pre-existing company
Amazon launchs their own delivery service.
I'm as a marketing manager and have been asked by the company I work for to identifying a target market (consumer of business) whose need are not currently being met, not being met satisfactorily or even recognized. Marketing managers also should think about competitive offerings, and how their offering will be communicated and delivered. Emphasis could be on the solution being actionable and realistic.
4. What customer need, wants, and demands are being met
Assuming the question here asks for how to develop a marketing plan to meet the demands of the customer, and the plan should actionable and realistic,.
To meet the demands of the customer who is not even recognized or whose demands are not fulfilled, first we need a market research analysis
This can be done using self company team, or as most of the companies do- hire a 3rd party market research company for the task. The company should be given several areas where the company is not delivering so far, and the areas where the customer demand is unmet or unsatisfactorily met. Then in these areas-
1. For areas from where there is no demand-
a. Identify if they are aware of a company like yours, and the services that are given by your company.
b. Identify their buying behavior, demographics info- like income, age, pyschological thinking
c Inform them about the company, and check if they would be wanting to become the customers
For areas where demand is met unsatisfactorily or not met
a. Identify the reasons from the people, that why are they unsatisfied
b. Identify their buying behavior, demographics info- like income, age, pyschological thinking
c. Check on whether the distributors are performing well in that region or not
Marketing Plan-
For unrecognized customers and no demand producing regions
1. Identify regions which have shown positive response on the market research question regarding- if they are willing to become the customers or not
2. For areas identified as probable high demand regions, study the behavior, demographics, psychographic levels etc. of the customers
3. Develop a marketing plan accordingly- maybe use a moving vehicle to sell your products and create awareness among the people in the inital stages
4. Keep in mind on what your customers can pay at max, and choose only those products to be sold which can be purchased by them
For customers whose demands are met unsatisfactorily
1. Find the reasons through the survey of why the demand is met unsatisfactorily
2. Make a marketing campaign suggesting that the miskates repeated will not be repeated again
3. Give some special offers for the region, so as to gain the trust of the customers back
If you want any additional points in the answer, please post in the comments, i would provide it; this is because the question was not clear altogether. Thank You
