What are some (one or more) features that distinguish crack cocaine from other addictive drugs?
Cocaine, in its powdered form, is an HCL salt, whereas, crack is obtained as cocaine gets combined with baking soda (NaHCO3). After cocaine gets combined with NaHCO3. This mixture would be boiled, following it becoming hard. This is then broken down after small pieces, after cooling, and these smaller pieces would be sold. Crack is referred to as crack, since there are sounds of cracking at the time of smoking after getting heated. Moreover, crack is in a high concentration, this is more addictive than cocaine.
Both of these differ, in appearance, as cocaine is powder and crack is a more solidified form. The colour is also different as cocaine is more white and crack is found in different colours from being cream, white, or tan. The usage is also different as cocaine will only be snorted and crack would be smoked.
