How does Ionic bonding relate to medicine?

How does Ionic bonding relate to medicine?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Ionic bond=formation of ionic bond for attachment of metal and non metal.ionic bond is created for transfer of electron. Formation of ionic bond due to high lattice energy.ie heat of formation of those ionic compound are negative according to "born habber cycle" .in 1990

Then ionic compound is related to madicine.due to solubility of ionic compound is more than solubility of covalent compound as well as mattelic compound. This reason ionic bonding is relate to medicine.because our body blood present in very high amount.some example=Cacl(calcium chloride)are highly solubel because hydration energy is more than lattice energy. It is used of medicine,it can be used in the treatment of patients with low level of calcium in the blood.

2)Mgo= 2A group matels oxide are solubel. Because hydration energy is higher than lattice energy. In medicine, it is Incorporated as a food supplement. etc.
