Please briefly explain Jane Doe v. Boeing Company 121 Wash.2d 8 (1993) in your own words
Jane Doe v. Boeing Company :
It was the case of Transsexualism or Gender Dysphoria. Jane Doe who was an engineer and biological male. He represented himself in Employment agreement as a male. But latter he found discomfort about his anatomical sex and wanted to get rid of . So he decided to have gender reassignment surgery and legally changed her masculine name to Feminine name .Doe was subsequently terminated from her position at Boeing as a result of her willful violation of Boeing's directives of not wearing the Unisex Appreal.
Jane doe then sued the Boeinfg for Unaccomodate her condition. The court declared that Doe was temporary Handicapped .The trial court further concluded that Boeing's actions reasonably accommodated Doe's condition and, thus, ruled in favor of Boeing on liability. but again Doe challenged the trial court's determination and Boeing cross-appealed the trial court's characterization of gender dysphoria as a handicap . it is concluded that Doe was handicapped and that Boeing failed to accommodate her condition, the Court of Appeals reversed the judgment and is in the favor of Jane and remanded the case for determination of Doe's damages and attorney fees on appeal.
