Rolly May was an existential american psychologist whose ideas were similar to the ideas of Ludwig Biswanger. Existentialism includes the idea of the living of the people along with their thinking. He used the words like destiny and courage to define the existence of a person to overcome the bad phase and negative emotions in life. His certain stages of development include:
Innocence: It is the self-consciousness of the person which determines the future wihout the perception whether it is right or wrong.
Rebellion: It is the childhood and the adolescent stage of the person in the society.
Ordinary: The adult conventional life of a person in society. It is the normal being of the person.
Creative:It is the existent stage of the person with the feeling of responsibility without self-egoistic stage and self realization.
The role of anxiety is displayed and explained in his thesis with a pure existentialism leading to loneliness and death in the society. His books include the meaning of anxiety and Love and will.He explains the importance of daimonic or the self motivation of the person to achieve success in life. It includes the lower needs for power and sex and higher needs for authority and love of relationships in life. Infantile includes the persons filled with desire and enthusiasm and no will and desire but to enjoy life, creative thinking with development and innovation and the ability to love and motivate oneself to accomplish such a thing throughout the life.
