Why are some (not all) college graduates have a difficult time finding a job that is a good match with their skills (education)? Also, why are some college graduates paid less that other college graduates when they enter the labor market? How would you solve the above two problems if you were in charge.

Solutions

Expert Solution

Some college graduates find it difficult to find job matching the skill set and their educational levels because of the fact that the supply is exceeding the demand for that particular job matching the skill set and if the demand is fulfilled the excess supply is left and that is the reason for the unemployment. some college graduates are paid less when compared to other graduate especially when they enter the labour market because they are indeed graded on their physical skill and knowledge where not all people have the same set while the highest paid ones are expected to yield more productivity on the whole. The first issue can be solved by expansion in the areas of businesses possible to generate employment it in the particular field while the second issue can be addressed by ensuring proper training levels to each individual doing a particular job so that they can get to produce maximum output levels.
