For Amazon Prime video, the biggest competitor is Netflix because it provides a homogeneous service to that of Amazon Prime Video and offers a wider variety of content than Amazon. For Amazon Prime Music, the biggest competitors are Apple Music and Spotify which are more popular in the US. For the online store's Amazon Prime membership program, some big names are starting to offer a similar service. Walmart, for example recently tested out a free shipping on subscription basis for its customers. Others are pushing better and faster shipping to compete with Prime and are also offering free content like movies with the subscription of their service. The biggest competition in the e-commerce playing ground for Amazon are Ebay and Walmart. They are strating to offer similar services to Amazon's Prime at attractive prices and Amazon would need to come up with a new strategy if it wants to remain the market leader in the coming future. As for the media based Amazon Prime Video, Netflix produces way more content which involves big names from TV and Hollywood regularly and spends a lot more than Amazon on advertising its content. New big name entrants like HBO with its HBO Now service, Showtime, The CW, are entering the space of m=online media streaming service with original content.
