Picture yourself at the end of your career as a successful CPA. What will that look like? What will your history of accounting jobs have been? Will it look like the accounting job of the early 2000s?
I see myself to be a successful CPA auditor at the end of my career. As an accountant and with many other accounting designations of my past experience in various Accounting firms, i have always thought Accounting is more of a data entry job, wherin we enter the data in software and wait for the results which used to produce a lot of fatigue in me, making me believe that,it wasn't a challenging job. But after having done CPA, and getting to delimit my knowledge on the subjects in CPA, i started believing that am enjoying my work as a CPA, with a lot many challenges and researches to find the solutions, to help in finding the fix. After retirement i would like to have my own firm to practice Auditing and to apply new values to the processes of auditing.
I think, accounting job will be a way dofferent from the early 2000's as the technology advancements will definitely insist on changes in the accounting jobs, and the ways in which the work is to be done.
