Amazon:- Amazon is an American multinational technology company based in Seattle, Washington. Amazon focuses on e-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence. It is one of the leading technology company in the world & it is known for its disruption of well-established industries through various technological innovation and mass scale. As per my opinion amazon offers granular targeting so that they can reach specific target audience.A well-designed Amazon target marketing campaign can not only drive more sales, but also growth in brand awareness and recognition as name climbs up the best-sellers ranking lists.
Now we are here to analyze needs that Amazon meet for their target markets:-
Target markets are usually defined through various demographics, usage patterns, benefits desired or geographic segments, according to the Business Administration.
1. Identification:-Before trying to define target market, amazon define their own target. First, they find their target, meaning they ourtline their business and their goals. Determine what needs and wants their product or service fulfills.The starting point of defining audience is to understand the problems that own product or service solves. Amazon outline it's identification first to meet their target markets.
2. Identify ideal customer:- Who is most likely to use their product or need services? Who will gain the most value from their offer? amazon start to paint a picture of their ideal customer by creating a list of all the different types of people who may suffer from the problems that they solve. There are three main ways amazon used to identify their customer i.e Geographics, Demographics & Preferance.
3. Customer needs:-Now that amazon have an idea of their perfect customer, they find the core needs that their customers want fulfilled. Amazon clients are looking for businesses that show an understanding of their needs. Public are experts on their problems and amazon cater to these. So, it seems they are listening to market.
4. Reward:- Amazon reward customers according to their purchases in the frequency program. Provide customers with discounts based on the volume of their purchases.
5. Build Loyalty:- Ability to stand out from competitors by reaching customers on a more personal, human level creates longer-lasting relationships. When customers identify brand and feel like you are an advocate for their specific perspectives and needs, they will likely be more loyal to your brand and continue to do business with you over a longer period of time. hence, amazon is on the same line.
