Panasonic really cares about Corporate Social responsibility if we see what the Panasonic has done in Indonesia it will bring joy out of us. In July 2014 Panasonic turn on the lights in the classrooms of Indonesia, they made a power supply container for the elementary school in KARIMUNJAWA because this region received electricity only in the night through diesel generators and no light during the day. Earlier the life of students at that school was very miserable they have to study in the environment full of heat and no sign of cool breezes. But after the power supply container developed by the Panasonic took you to turn for that small village and the Indonesian government selected the power supply container for Public-private partnership.

This example shows that how much involved the Panasonic is in the social responsibility apart from making profits from the people it still focuses on the CSR activities for making the society a better place to live.

Panasonic’s corporate ethics program is such a program which shows how responsible the Panasonic is towards corporate ethics. They conduct activities ensuring fair corporate ethics in the organization. They have also created a guidebook and distributed it to all the employees and this guidebook provides examples to employees to hone their activities and a sense of ethics for making judgments independently, helping to instill more thorough understanding to compliance.

Another example which shows the corporate ethics followed by the organization are:

  • They established a corporate ethics program in which they spread awareness, education within company by assigning corporate ethics leaders.
  • With the Establishment of corporate ethics reporting line they have encouraged internal reporting as the place for a consultation so that employee becomes aware of activity that appears to be out of scope ethical behavior.

These examples show the company’s position in terms of ethics.
