Solution:

To take ownership of our own learning we must understand our role in the learning process and fulfill the requirements that are required to be done by us in order to accomplish a certain level of learning. Hence, understanding what is required for the learning process and the stakes involved helps in understanding the importance of learning, this will mean taking control of our own learning and being an active participant in the learning process.

Active learning is where students and instructors interact with each other, have discussions over a topic as part of the learning process. Active learning helps in keeping the students engaged and keeping them hooked to the learning process. The active participation from students and instructors helps in making active learning very effective and students with active learning tend to perform better. Passive learning is the opposite of active learning. Passive learning is where instructors deliver the information to the students and students themselves understand and implement it. There is no discussion of any sort in passive learning. Hence, passive learning entirely depends on the efforts of individual students and it may not help every student who is a part of passive learning. Hence, this is how active and passive learning is different from each other.

The course instructor plays a very crucial role in the learning process. It is the instructor who will be delivering the information and the learning of the students depends on the way the instructor delivers the information. Hence, the effectiveness of the instructor is directly related to the effectiveness of the learning process of students. Hence, the instructor has a crucial role to play in an effective learning process. Peer to peer assessment helps students learn from their peers. Also, this helps students develop the ability to work in teams and make efforts along with other team members. Hence, peer to peer assessment is one of the great ways to learn because students tend to learn more from their peers than their instructors and hence peer to peer assessments are a very important part of the learning process.
