What does it mean to take ownership of your own learning?

Ownership to learning means that Iam (learner) motivated, engaged and self-directed. It means that I can monitor my own progress and am able to reflect on my learning based on mastery of content.

In your response, describe the difference between active and passive learning.

Active learning is immediately applying newly received information, that is, using what I am being taught as part of the teaching.

Passive learning is when I only receive the information. For example: A teacher lecturing through power points or reading from a book without encouraging much interaction. This is more passive.

What is the role of the course instructor in the learning process?  

In a learning process,course instructor takes on the role like that of a curator as he designs the course. He guides the learners towards readings and other learning materials that will serve learning goals for the learners.

What is the role of peer assessment in the learning process?

Peer assessment or peer review provides a structured learning process for students to critique and provide feedback to each other on their work. It helps students develop lifelong skills in assessing and providing feedback to others, and also equips them with skills to self-assess and improve their own work.
