“Built Environment” term is used when referring to those surroundings created for humans, by humans and for human activity. For example cities, building, urban spaces etc.

It includes

1. Visual arts, 2. Engineering, 3. Architecture, 4. Environmental studies, 5. Geography 6. Industrial design, 7. History etc.

Our built environment will be sustainable only when its social & environmental context is given rigorous attention at all stages of a project’s life from planning & construction to demolition & reuse.

Technology is playing a vital role in shaping the industries of today by augmenting process, streamline activities, and integrating innovations to propel the functioning of companies and organizations across a multitude of industries and help them achieve new heights. BIM is prominent practice as it involves illustration and pre execution overview of physical and functional characteristics of places.

One should no longer believe that considering the environment means being mindful of the natural habitat being displaced by a project and yet ignore resource use, emission and landfill volume resulting from every project decision.

“Social Environment” refers to the immediate physical & social setting in which people live. It includes the culture that individual lives in and the people and institutions with whom they interact. The interaction may be in person or through communication media. It is a broader concept than social class or circle.
