Drops are used as a measure of volume in this lab. Explain why it is important to beconsistent in the size and counting of the drops.
If we are not consistent with the size and counting of the drops, then the volume that need to measured added will be wrongly measured.
The volume of the liquid measured will be equal to number of drops times volume of each drop.
For example each drop is consistant of size "radius - r", then volume of drop (in the form of sphere) will be
Then the volume of the liquid is
, where n is number of drops
Therefore the volume of the liquid will be dependent on the number of drops and size of each drop.
Therefore, it is important to be consistant in size and couting of drops to measure volume of liquid in lab.
If the size of the drop changes, then the above equation will be
Then we have to find the volume of each drop. which is very difficult.
If the number of drops changes, then the required volume will not be measured.
So from the above inference we can say that
"it is important to be consistent in the size and counting of the drops"
