Describe how The Beatles' music changed during the period from 1960 to 1966. These changes can take a number of different forms, including: alterations to lyrical content and themes; changes to band/ensemble membership; changes to instrumentation used, etc.
1960s was a dynamic time. Various incidents took place in this era which changed the music styles and their way of representation. Killing of John F. Kennedy and Vietnam war changed the mood of musicians of that time. Civil rights movement was also an addition in this manner.
The Beatles is the first name which comes to mind whenever a discussion of 1960's music takes place. It was a time of Rock-n-Roll. Hard rock and soft rock dominated the market. Bands like beatles won many awards. They established various records of music industry.
Lyrics used were mostly influenced by the incidents which shocked the world at that time. Various experimentation was going on with music. Hybridisation of instruments along with mixing of tunes and evolution of band culture; changed the way of musical representation. Music had developed a medium to express the emotions in synchronisation of events taking place in surrounding.
