Medicare was signed into law in 1965. Since then, the biggest change may have been the addition of the Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit in 2006. Although Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) still doesn’t include coverage for most prescription drugs you take at home, you can get prescription drug coverage through a stand-alone Part D prescription drug plan or a Medicare Advantage prescription drug plan.

Medicare Advantage plans may offer more supplemental Medicare benefits not covered by Medicare Part A and Part B. If you qualify for these benefits, Medicare Advantage plans can now offer:

  • Adult day health services
  • In-home support services
  • Meal delivery
  • Grocery shopping
  • House cleaning to reduce asthma attacks
  • Transportation to doctor appointments

Changes of Medicare are in 2019, it was $1,364, but it increased to $1,408 in 2020. And it has increased to $1,484 for 2021. The deductible increase applies to all enrollees, although many enrollees have supplemental coverage that pays all or part of the Part A deductible.

These changes in Medicare plans offers prescription drug coverage through a stand-alone Part D prescription drug plan which will make secure about your health and can have a great impact in your life. The advantages of the plans will make your life secure and reduce your stress of health issues and many others.
