  • Different proteins are destined for different organeles of eukaryotic cell. During co-translational process the proteins which has to be sent out of the cell, enters/bound to ER(endoplasmic reticulum) only if the ER consistsof signal peptide. This signal peptide comprises hydrophobic amino acids and hence found at the N-terminal of the protein. The signal recognition particle (SRP) recognizes this signal peptide and binds to it, thereby bringing the ribosome into the ER interior and resumes translation process. The enzyme signal peptidases separates/ cleaves the signal peptide , where the protein is released into the lumen of ER. This then transported to golgi apparatus. So , all the options mentioned above are true.
