What kind of leadership style do you think our current president, Donald Trump, exhibited on the campaign trail and now in the White House? Why do you think some people gravitated to that type of leadership?
President, Donald Trump's leadership style can be referred as unconventional, he is "me-centric". which is egoistic and not meant to be strategic. He is aggressive in his negotiations. He is a command and control manager wherein he likes in the dictatorship style. He exhibits confidence accountability being a questionmark which might a negative aspect rather being the other way round. Establishing credibility seems to be tiresome effort for Trump. On the other hand there are several things that one must learn from his leadership approach. He is very energetic and goal oriented, this strength of his can be one of his biggest posive point. Donald Trump had a priveleged childhood, from the very childhood he was very energetic and grew up to be a student leader by the end of his graduation. This shows that he has a inborn leadership talent. His dad was his role model and learnt the decision making skills from him. He was very ambitious and was goal directed. His ambition, goal directedness and energy in my opinion serves as the basis for his behavior and his leadership approach.
