Which of the five forces are about the size of the value pie and which are about the division of the pie? Explain

Solutions

Expert Solution

The size of value pie is dependent on the “Threat of substitute products”. Example: If there is more advertisement of drinking water, soft drink market will shrink and pie will become smaller, whereas if soft drinks company market the product, consumption will increase and pie will become bigger

The division of the pie is dependent on “The potential of new entrants into the industry”. In this case, the pie division changes amongst competitors. If more entrants are there, the pie division will increase.
