The double-reciprocal plot is also called as the Lineweaver-Burk plot it is deduced by taking the inverse initial velocity (1/V0) as a function of the inverse of the substrate concentration (1/[S]). Means it is the hyperbolic relationship of the Michaelis–Menten equation into a linear function by taking the reciprocal of Michaelis– Menten equation and simplifying the result equation into a straight line expression to overcome this problem. Hence, taking the double-reciprocal plot is useful means of linearizing kinetic data.
