Expert Solution

Although the American dream aims at removing discrimination based on differences amidst it's people, it fails to take into account the differences in their entirety. The utopian view of looking at the world through the lens of American dream, it can be said that they aim at giving everyone equal opportunity based on their rights. However, the fact that differences in fact are a culmination of various dynamics operating in the nation cannot be ignored. This brings an important element of equality versus equity. If equal opportunities to all are aimed at in order to avoid discrimination, the purpose may be defeated due to the unintentional discrimination performed against minorities or the less heard ones in the nation. The intent of American dream's establishment cannot be undervalued or discounted since it is noble in itself, however it must be ensured that diversity can flourish & differences lead to opportunities too instead of restrictions/boundations.
