Solutions

Expert Solution

Difficulties faced by the students in memorizing medical terms are

-remebering large number of muscles, in anatomy

-drug classification with examples of each class in pharmacology

-memorizing particular chunks of paragraph for definition of certain medical terms

Every field has it's own type of learning. In medical field the students are supposed memorize a large number of things.

Solution

Our brain stores stuff only after certain level of repeating the information, ie that particular piece of information becomes long term memory on multiple revision

-Therefore the main key point overcome the obstacles of memorizing is to REVISE

- also students can use particular pneumonic/acronym to recall the certain medical terms

Eg:general examination- pickel .

-flash cards can also be used

-also try breaking down the word , then understand the meaning of each segment ,thereby helping to retain that memory
