Culture is an important variable that has an immense impact on management styles and business outcomes. Assess the impact of the dimension 'Individualism/ Collectivism' of Hofstede framework on the management styles in different regions.
In the corporate world, many people come together to create a working environment to give their best. These people come from different cultures, religions, and backgrounds, but here they are united together. Culture difference in an office needs to be covered up, and one should understand others. This difference is absent by a sound management system where there is no space for such differences. A healthy management system will smoothen the working of the organization. Business outcomes should not be compensated at all, so things should plan in such a way that people cooperate and build up a good team together.
The 'individualism' in the Hofstede framework means the aims and career of each individual in the organization matters a lot. When we talk about individualism in a different region, everyone has a different kind of target, which may be short-term or long-term goals, depending upon the environment and mindset the person has.
The ' collectivism' in Hofstede framework states that in this corporate world, the team and group work is the most crucial element. Sometimes, it may be difficult to change management styles according to the working environment. However, these changes are tested and came out to be the best. So methods of management should be done accordingly.
