Explain the following briefly :
Redundancy
Availability
Maintainability
Reliability is the probability of zero failures over a defined time interval.
Availability is the percentage of time a system is considered ready to use when tasked.
Maintainability is a measure of the ease and rapidity with which a system or equipment can be restored to operational status following a failure.
Collectively, Reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) affect the economic life-cycle costs of a system and its utility.
Redundancy- It is one of the most efficient ways to increase reliability. Critical components are duplicated such that two or more such components will be avaliable in parellel to perform the same function within the product, which will help in increasing the reliability of product.
