Conditions that are similar to hyperthyroidism is of hyperglycemia. There is a lot of similarity and relatedness between both of the disease. Hyperthyroidism does not affect the sugar levels in the blood directly but it can cause a lot of trouble indirectly while managing the blood sugar levels. This impacts how the body actually metabolizes the glucose and the insulin. Both the disease can be similar in terms of the impact it creates in the body. The conditions of hyperglycemia and hyperthyroidism might cause weight loss, loss of appetite, fatigue and weakness. There is a strong relation between diabetes and thyroid diseases.
Hyperthyroidism is the condition of the thyroid which is responsible for producing two important hormones which are tetraiodothyronine and triiodothyronine which helps in controlling the cells on how the energy is used. It helps in the process of metabolism due to the release of the hormones. Some common symptoms are nervousness, restlessness, inability to concentrate, irregular heartbeat, nausea, hair loss etc.
Hyperglycemia is a condition of high sugar level that is caused by number of activities like bad choice of food and physical activity. Some of the common symptoms is blurred vision, headache, frequent urination, fatigue, increased thirst etc.
