Studies claim that the curative powers of dolphins are over the top, interacting with dolphins can alleviate autism and many other learning disorders. Dolphin therapy is like a magnet for parents who would do anything to help their children get rid of autism or other mental disorders.
However researcehers carefully observed sessions in which dolphins interacted with groups of autistic children in a dolphin therapy session. They found that most of the dolphins ignored the children, and there was not much ultrasonic dolphin talk going on. In fact the children were exposed to an average of only ten seconds on dolphins ultrasounds during each sessions, not beneficial at all. The researchers cocluded that kids would have been better off playing with dogs rather than dolphins.
